Honorable Discharge a monologue for performer Lance Gharavi, written and directed by McMahon, juxtaposes the killing of a suicidal 15 year-old by police with the ongoing situation in Iraq. Using multiple voices and personas, quotes from news reports, Henry IV, and Tom Sawyer, the solo work examines illusions of security and the use of force through the metaphor of discharge and distance.
